Songwriters & Composers:

Please follow the simple guidelines in order to aid us in evaluating your submissions. As you might guess, we get many song submissions for review. To ensure that your material receives the attention it deserves, we request that your submission adhere to the following guidelines in a well-organized fashion.

Before submitting a song, feel confident of its strong sales potential. We are looking for hit songs and we want your best material! If you don't feel that a song is an example of your best work, don't include it. Instead, try to evaluate your material objectively and ask: 1. How does it hold up next to popular songs of the same style? 2. Does it have a strong melody and is the music and lyrical content dynamic enough to captivate a listener?

Please limit your submission to the three strongest songs in your repertoire. As well, it is important that you consider the first song to be your very best. If we listen to two or three promising songs, we will certainly contact you to request additional material. Any material you submit should be polished complete song ideas that have been professionally recorded and as close to broadcast quality as possible.

Your songs MUST be sent as completed works, whether they be instrumental or music with lyrics. As a publisher, we only accept completed material: we do not shape ideas or concepts into completed songs. If you are a lyricist but not a composer, find someone to collaborate on music in order to complete the song.

Always include a typed cover letter with current contact information and a clearly typed set of lyrics. We will not evaluate any material that does include this basic information.

DO NOT send any package to us which requires a signature! We are busy focusing all of our energy on our core business, and do not have the "spare time" to wait in line at the post office to receive a demo tape.

We are glad to return your submission after review, but you must provide us with a self-addressed-stamped-envelope (S.A.S.E)

Please send only DAT, CD or high quality audio cassette. If you include a cassette tape, please make certain that it is a new, brand name, high quality cassette. Nothing sounds worse than a great performance recorded on poor media.

Never send your original DAT master or any other master recording. Always have a copy made and send only the copy. We will not be held responsible for any material that is sent to us, so please hang on to your valuable master recordings.

Please do not email demo songs as MP3's or any other digital format to us. Any submission we receive by this method will be immediately discarded.

Unfortunately we do not have the resources to respond to every demo package submitted. If you wish to receive a response, please provide a S.A.S.E.

Please, no phone calls, email or written follow-ups regarding your submission. If you provided a self-addressed-stamped-envelope (S.A.S.E) with your submission or we have a strong interest in your music you will recieve a reply. Otherwise we simply do not have the resources to track and respond to every submission we recieve.

We will not, under any circumstances provide critique of any material submitted, so please don't ask.
